Excerpt from April 23, 2006 Sermon

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. Behold, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him: for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3

“Salvation is free because Christ paid the infinite price.”

Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:1-2

There are many things in life that causes us trouble. It may be a physical condition, a financial condition, a health condition, family problems, or a work condition. Everywhere you look there is reason to be troubled in this troubled world. But Jesus says; “Let not your heart be troubled.”

How in the world can we do that? There is a way to find peace. It may be found walking through the midst of a valley, but it can't be bought. Wal-Mart sells everything, but not peace. You say; “Maybe I can go to my grandfather for peace.” He can't give you peace. Your job, your wife/husband, nor can your friends give you peace. Peace only comes from one source--Jesus Christ!

So often things are out of my hands concerning my ministry. I can talk to the Father for you, but that sometimes is all I can do. The rest is in His loving hands.

Paul said; ” When you are at your weakest, God is at His strongest.” With the troubles of life around you, can you lay down your head at night in peace? To know Christ is to know peace. All my troubles I must lay down at the foot of the Cross.

People don't have any trouble believing in God, but they question who Jesus is.

In this life of tears I know a place where there will be no tears. In this place of sorrow I know a place where there will be only happiness. We all have an open invitation to go there. This place is Heaven, but you must RSVP. You can't just go there and say, “Sorry God, I really didn't have time to pray or read my bible. I didn't even have time to go to church, but here I am now.” This will not work. You can't sneak in the back door, either.

God says, “Come live with Me forever. The ride is smooth and you will touch-down safely, but you must be prepared. We all must come before the judgment seat of God. It's then we will hear the words, “Well done” or “Depart from me; I never knew you.”

Let me ask you this question; “If you died today, where would you spend eternity? If the blood has not been applied, you are lost. You say, “Preacher, I don't know if I am saved.” That is a "doubt" salvation. Today, you can have a "for-sure" salvation.

Are you going through a storm with strong winds blowing? You can have a strong sea anchor in Christ. His word says; “We have a steadfast anchor in Jesus. Where there is trouble, He gives peace.” He speaks to your heart -- listen to Him.

There is peace in knowing God. There is peace in knowing you can open your eyes in Heaven and hear God say; “Good Morning, Child!”
